    The bird came well packed ready to be popped in oven for Christmas dinner - it was tender, tasty and a real treat - we had five for dinner and it did perfectly for us!

    First year of not buying a free range turkey from local farm shop - but have always wanted to try a multi bird roast. Was looking at the usual large super market offerings but left it too late to click and collect. After much searching went for this 10-12 person roast.

    Firstly 5* customer service - first time I have ordered fresh food for over night delivery, but was kept informed of all the steps.

    The roast itself was fantastic - very easy to cook (3 hours) with minimum fuss. So no trying to stuff a turkey at midnight and then getting up a 6 to get it in the oven!!! All the meat was vey tender and better than meat of a whole turkey. Carving is very easy - its just slice after slice of meat!!!!

    The meat lasted for two days after Christmas so certainly was value for money - and with no bones etc very easy to pop into he fridge etc between meals!

    So in conclusion - very good value for money (cost the same as the turkey but had everything (stuffing, bacon) already in the price. Very good quality meat that is very easy to cook.

    My only slight criticism is there could have been a little more stuffing - but next year we will remedy this by making some of our own stuffing.

    So highly recommended and will be buying again next year.

    Ordered the 1.5kg Five bird roast for Christmas lunch and it was absolutely delicious, all the different birds were scrummy. Perfect amount for everyone also meant that we weren't eating a different Turkey recipe every day until New Year.
    Fully recommend this to everyone.
    If you have more than five people with big appetites go for 2kg.

The Ultimate Award-Winning Joint – boneless, easy to carve, full of flavour and guaranteed to impress.

Our famous hand prepared 4 bird roasts are made to order from Turkey, Pheasant, Chicken and Duck, expertly combined together so that each bird cooks the next one inside and the juices combine exquisitely.

Luxury award-winning gluten free pork sausage stuffing is then added to ensure exquisite taste and melt-in-the-mouth texture.  Lastly, the joint is dressed with award-winning Cumbrian pancetta and a couple of sprigs of thyme to maintain the succulent flavours inside and to add visual “wow” effect.

A Great Taste Award winner worthy of the prize.

After the main feast any that is left over also tastes very good cold, so you can look forward to another treat if you don’t finish it in the first sitting.

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Bring the roast to room temperature.
  2. Preheat oven to 190°C/375°F (170°C fan or gas mark 5).
  3. Calculate cooking time at 40 minutes per kg, plus an additional 15-20 minutes.
  4. Remove packaging and place in a large roasting tray. Season well.
  5. Cover with a loose tent of foil and roast, basting every 30-40 minutes.
  6. Remove foil 30 minutes before cooking time ends to brown and crisp the skin.
  7. Insert a skewer to check doneness; juices should run clear. If pink, cook for 15 more minutes.
  8. Rest under foil for 10 minutes before carving.
