Great product, best I’ve had in years!!!!..a hiccup on the way...but extremely caring customer service made everything work so it’s a straight 10/10 from me. Well done team.

The last time I had smoked salmon this good was about sixty years ago when it was wild and had been caught on rod and line in a Scottish river.

Delicious Smoked Salmon, worth spending that little extra. I highly recommend. At 61 and someone who has travelled and eaten in some beautiful restaurants, I can honestly say, this smoked salmon is probably the best I have ever tasted. Smoked to perfection. No dry ends and moist but not too greasy.

Our salmon arrived very chilled and wrapped in it's woolen blanket. The ice packs were still very cold. We opened it today and it really is absolutely delicious and so tender. We are thinking of an excuse to have it again already. It is cut beautifully so is easy to serve. Thank you James Alexander fine foods...

Most impressed by the service; ordered quite far in advance, but delivery arrived exactly when required and was kept fully informed about its progress. Oh yes, and the smoked salmon was exceptionally good.

I ordered your smoked salmon through the Early Early Christmas Virtual Fair online - it arrived promptly and we had it this weekend. It was most delicious, full-bodied, oak-smoked flavour, not too strong and not at all greasy - highly recommended.

D-Cut means: Sliced across the width of the Smoked Salmon fillet. Pre-sliced D cut sides are whole fillets of Smoked Scottish Salmon including skin. After carving, the slices are carefully reassembled to retain the visual impact of a complete side.
Traditionally prepared and hand-selected, this generous slice of whole salmon fillet is rope-hung, dry-cured, cold-smoked, and traditionally smoked over English oak chipping in an authentic kiln in the Lake District. Small-batch. Layered. Delicious. Ready to Eat
The process and method of 'Rope Hung Smoked Salmon' is prolonged, compared to the smoking of conventional smoked salmon. First, it's smoked for about three times as long. Second, in the kiln it's hung "loose" to ensure every square inch of the surface is exposed to the smoke. And third, the wood chips used for the smoke are from retired whisky barrels. All this delivers a smokier and slightly drier result, arguably a bit sweeter owing to the whisky effect.
